Atocha is one of the seven neighbourhoods of the Arganzuela district in Madrid. It is bounded by Ronda de Atocha to the north, Calle Méndez Álvaro to the east, Avenida de Barcelona to the west and the M-30 to the south.
Atocha station is the most important railway station in Spain, with commuter trains and the AVE arriving from Barcelona. The neighbourhood also has the Madrid Conservatory, the Atocha Basilica and the Reina Sofía museum.
