Maceda is a municipality in the province of Ourense, in Galicia, in the Allariz-Maceda comarca. It is made up of the capital, Maceda, and 58 settlements, places and hamlets, scattered along the slopes of the Sierra de San Mamede. Most of the population lives in the capital.

The hamlets rarely exceed 300 inhabitants, and in summer their numbers grow significantly. Among them are Tioira, Foncuberta, Vilardecás, Zorelle, Castro de Escuadro and Asadur. The patron saint is San Pedro.
