Get to know Lugo

Lugo is a city in Galicia, the capital of the comarca and province that share its name. It has Roman origins: it was founded in 25 BC and is the oldest city in Galicia. Lugo is the only city in the world surrounded by completely intact Roman walls, which are a UNESCO World Heritage Site.

Today it is a commercial and service city, with a university campus focused on agricultural sciences. Its lively festivals include Arde Lucus and San Froilán.
