Get to know Lugo

Lugo is the capital of the province of Lugo and the fourth most populous city in Galicia. Its 3rd-century Roman walls run along an unbroken circuit with 71 towers and ten gates, and you can walk the whole way round on top. The historic bridge over the Miño is also essentially Roman.

The city lies on the Camino Primitivo path of the Camino de Santiago. Beyond the walls, the municipality includes places such as Muja, Castro, Piúgos, Bóveda and Meilán.
