Get to know Los Llanos de Aridane

Los Llanos de Aridane is a municipality on the island of La Palma, in the province of Santa Cruz de Tenerife, Canary Islands. It has more residents than any other municipality on the island, the capital Santa Cruz de La Palma included.

It fills the Aridane Valley on the sheltered, sunny leeward side of the island. This western part of La Palma is well watered and less steep than the rest, and those plains, or llanos, give the town its name.
