Llucmajor is a municipality in the Migjorn comarca of Mallorca, in the Balearic Islands, and the largest on the island by surface area. It borders Palma, Algaida, Montuïri, Porreres and Campos. In 1349 the Battle of Llucmajor between James III of Mallorca and Peter IV of Aragon was fought here.
Sixteen urban settlements make up the municipality, including the town of Llucmajor and the coastal areas of s'Arenal, Cala Blava and Cala Pi. The town has six public primary schools, a public secondary school and three municipal nurseries.
