Lalín is a municipality in the north-east of the province of Pontevedra, Galicia, and its town is the capital of the comarca of O Deza. It is regarded as the kilometre zero of Galicia: the mathematician José Rodríguez González, born here, placed the geographic centre of Galicia in the parish of Bermés. It is the largest municipality in the province of Pontevedra.

The municipality is divided into parishes, among them Lalín, Donramiro, Goyás, Botos, Vilatuge, Filgueira, Catasos and Bendoiro. It borders Silleda, Vila de Cruces, Forcarei, Agolada, Rodeiro, Dozón and O Irixo.
