La Zubia is a municipality in the southern part of the Vega de Granada comarca, in the province of Granada. It belongs to the Granada metropolitan area and borders the city of Granada itself, Huétor Vega, Cájar, Monachil, Dílar, Gójar and Ogíjares.
Besides the town of La Zubia, the municipality takes in the settlements of Cumbres Verdes and El Barrichuelo. Much of its land lies inside the Sierra Nevada national and natural park.
