La Vall d'en Bas is a municipality in the comarca of Garrotxa, in the province of Girona. It sits at the head of the river Fluvià, surrounded by the Corb, Sant Miquel and Llancers ranges and by the Puigsacalm, at 1515 metres.

It was formed in 1968 by merging Sant Privat d'en Bas, La Pinya, Sant Esteve d'en Bas and Joanetes, and its capital is Sant Esteve d'en Bas. Chestnuts, oaks, holm oaks and beech woods grow here, and farming, livestock and sausage making drive the local economy.
