La Nucia is a municipality in the comarca of Marina Baixa, in the province of Alicante, 8 km north of Benidorm. It lies in a fruit-growing valley between Benidorm and Callosa d'en Sarrià, 3 km from the coast at Altea. The town centre stands on a promontory looking out over the Mediterranean.
Besides the town itself, the municipality includes the housing estates of Barranco Hondo, Coloma, Bello Horizonte, Panorama and El Tossal. It borders Altea, Callosa d'en Sarrià, Benidorm, Polop and L'Alfàs del Pi.
