Get to know L'Alcoià

Alcoià is an inland comarca of the Valencian Community, in the north of the province of Alicante. It is known for its mountainous relief and its historical, industrial and natural importance in inland Alicante. Its capital is the city of Alcoy.

It has two sub-comarcas: the Hoya de Castalla to the south and the Alcoy valley to the north. Neighbouring comarcas are Vall d'Albaida and Comtat to the north, Marina Baixa to the east, Alacantí and Vinalopó Mitjà to the south and Alt Vinalopó to the west. Besides Alcoy, its towns include Ibi, Castalla, Onil, Banyeres de Mariola, Tibi, Penàguila and Benifallim.
