Get to know Jaca

Jaca is a city in the province of Huesca, in Aragón, and the capital of the comarca of La Jacetania. It stands in the Aragón valley, near the Pyrenees and the border with France. It was the first capital of the Kingdom of Aragon, until 1096.

The municipality covers the urban centre of Jaca and many rural districts, such as Abay, Badaguás, Barós and Navasa. Astún, the ski resort settlement, is part of it too. The Aragón and Gas rivers run through the area.
