Íllar is a municipality in the province of Almería, in the autonomous community of Andalusia, Spain. It lies in the eastern part of the Alpujarra Almeriense comarca, at 425 meters above sea level and 34 km from the provincial capital. It has 492 inhabitants (INE 2025) and covers 19 km².

It borders Bentarique, Huécija, Instinción, Alboloduy and Santa Cruz de Marchena. The Andarax river runs through its territory, and a considerable part of the land lies in the Sierra Nevada natural park.
