Huéscar is a municipality in the province of Granada, in Andalusia, and the capital of the Huéscar comarca. It is the northernmost in the province and borders the provinces of Albacete and Jaén. The rivers Bravatas, Guardal, Raigadas and Zumeta run through it.
The town sits under the Sierra de la Encantada, and its manor houses still carry noble coats of arms on their façades. It has the Rodríguez Penalva park, the San Clemente reservoir and giant sequoias planted more than a hundred years ago. Farming and livestock drive the economy, and the town hosts the National Segureña Sheep Breeders' Fair.
