Guitiriz is a town and municipality in the west-central part of the province of Lugo, in Galicia, next to the province of A Coruña. It belongs to the comarca of Terra Chá and is known for its spa of mineral water. Before 1950 the town was called Trasparga.

It sits almost equally far from the main Galician cities, with good road and rail links. Its parishes and places include Lagostelle, Os Vilares, Parga, Pígara, Buriz, Labrada, Santa Cruz de Parga and Trasparga.
