Guaro is a municipality in the province of Málaga, in the Sierra de las Nieves comarca. It has 2638 inhabitants (2025) and lies 354 metres above sea level. Málaga is 44 km away.

Its land is fertile for fruit, almonds and olives, between the Río Grande valley and the mountains. Guaro is the entrance to the Sierra de las Nieves Natural Park, a UNESCO Biosphere Reserve. The municipality lies north of the Sierra de Mijas and hills such as Blanco, Donoso and Fogón cross it.
