Get to know Granollers

Granollers is the capital and most populous city of the Vallès Oriental comarca, in the province of Barcelona. It grew from a 19th-century textile town into a busy business centre. With Canovelles, Les Franqueses del Vallès and La Torreta it forms one continuous urban area.

Its best-known building is the Porxada, a Renaissance grain exchange. On Carrer de Corró stands the old Sant Domènec hospital, now the Sala Francesc Tarafa, a restored Gothic building. The Congost river crosses the city, and the Palou area in the south keeps its farming character.
