Get to know Granada

Granada is a city in Andalusia, capital of the province of the same name, in the Vega de Granada comarca. It was the capital of the Nasrid Emirate, the last Muslim-ruled state in the Iberian Peninsula, and keeps the Alhambra and the Albaicín as its landmarks. The University of Granada spreads over several campuses across the city.

The city is divided into districts such as Centro, Albaicín, Ronda, Chana, Genil, Beiro, Norte and Zaidín. Four rivers meet here: the Darro, the Genil, the Monachil and the Beiro. Nearby are the Sierra Nevada Ski Station and the Costa Tropical on the Mediterranean.
