Realejo-San Matías, or simply El Realejo, is a neighbourhood of the city of Granada, in the Distrito Centro, Granada province. It is made up of four barrios: Realejo, San Matías, Santa Ana and Barrio de la Virgen, in the old town at the foot of the Alhambra on its south-east side.
The higher part, on the slope of the Mauror hill, is the Antequeruela, a maze of narrow, steep streets with single-family houses and Granada cármenes. When the Christians took the city, the area was named Realejo after the military camp they set up there.
