Freila is a municipality in the comarca of Baza, in the province of Granada, Andalusia. Its population is 960 (2025). It borders Zújar, Baza, Guadix, Gorafe, Dehesas de Guadix and Cuevas del Campo.
The Guadiana Menor river runs through the area together with the Negratín reservoir, the second largest in the province. An inland beach lies on the south shore, and fishing and water sports are possible nearby. The municipality includes Freila, Los Lotes and Poblado del Negratín.
