Fornells de la Selva is a municipality in the comarca of Gironès, in the province of Girona, Catalonia. It forms part of the urban area of Girona and borders the city to the north.

It is a farming village in a meander of the Onyar river, on the Girona plain, with farmhouses scattered across its territory. The N-II road and the Barcelona-Portbou railway run through it, and the station is in the town itself. It is known for its railway tradition: the old station houses a large model railway and a miniature passenger train. Its heritage includes the Romanesque church of Sant Cugat, the Torre del Governador and the remains of the old castle.
