Get to know Estribaciones del Gorbea

Gorbeialdea is one of the seven cuadrillas that make up the province of Álava, in the Basque Country. Much of it lies in the foothills of Mount Gorbea, and it is also known as Zuia. Its capital is Murgia, in the municipality of Zuia.

Parts of the Gorbea and Urkiola natural parks stretch into the comarca. All three of Álava's reservoirs are here: Ullíbarri-Gamboa, Urrunaga and Albina. The municipalities are Zuia, Villarreal de Álava, Cigoitia, Urcabustaiz, Aramayona and Arrazua-Ubarrundia.
