Esparreguera is a town in the comarca of Baix Llobregat, in the province of Barcelona. Every March and April its residents stage La Passió, a Passion play lasting more than five hours. The tradition goes back to the town's medieval origins and has made it one of the cradles of Catalan performing arts.

The town lies in the natural comarca of Montserratí, and its highest point is the Turó de la Socarrada. The church of Santa Eulàlia has the second tallest Renaissance bell tower in Catalonia.
