El Rosario is a municipality in the northeast of Tenerife, in the province of Santa Cruz de Tenerife, Canary Islands. Its seat is La Esperanza, at around 900 metres in the island's mountainous interior. It belongs to the Santa Cruz de Tenerife metropolitan area, together with San Cristóbal de La Laguna, Tegueste, Tacoronte and El Sauzal.

The coastal strip, with Tabaiba and Radazul, is heavily built up, and the port of Radazul is a base for diving and sailing. Higher up, the forests draw hikers. The local economy rests on farming and services.
