The Province of Córdoba is in the north-central part of Andalusia in southern Spain, with the city of Córdoba as its capital. It borders Málaga, Seville, Jaén and Granada in Andalusia, Badajoz in Extremadura and Ciudad Real in Castile-La Mancha. Its climate is Mediterranean continental, with hot summers and rain mostly from October to April.

Besides the capital, the main towns are Lucena, Puente Genil, Montilla, Priego de Córdoba, Palma del Río, Cabra and Baena.
