The Comarca de Baza lies in the northeast of the province of Granada, in Andalusia. Together with the Comarca de Huéscar it forms the Altiplano Granadino. It borders Huéscar to the north, Guadix and Los Montes to the west and comarcas of Almería to the east and south.

Its eight municipalities are Baza, Cúllar, Caniles, Zújar, Benamaurel, Cuevas del Campo, Cortes de Baza and Freila. Baza is the capital and the largest, Freila the smallest.
