Colmenar is a municipality in the Axarquía comarca, in the province of Málaga in Andalusia, and the capital of the Montes de Málaga. It lies about 32 km from the city of Málaga and has 3626 inhabitants (2025).

Its name refers to the beehives that long formed the base of the local economy. Its land takes in part of the Camorolos and Jobo mountain ranges, and the village houses the region's medical centre.
