Celanova is a municipality in the comarca of Terra de Celanova, in the province of Ourense, Galicia. It sits near the border with Portugal, and the provincial capital, Ourense, is 23 km away. The Arnoia river crosses the southern limits of the municipality.

The Monastery of San Salvador de Celanova is the most important building in a well-preserved historical center; St. Rudesind founded it in 936. One of the town's mansions was the birthplace of the poet Manuel Curros Enríquez. Nearby are the castro of Castromao and the village of Vilanova dos Infantes, with a medieval tower.
