Get to know Catarroja

Catarroja is a town and municipality in the province of Valencia, in the Horta Sud comarca. It lies about 8 km from the city of Valencia. In October 2024 it was devastated when the Poyo river overflowed.

The land is flat and spreads across rice fields, orange groves and market gardens. Almost half of it lies within the Albufera natural park.
