Casar de Cáceres is a municipality in the province of Cáceres, in Extremadura, and part of the urban area of the provincial capital. It is the centre of production of Torta de Casar, a creamy cheese. Until the first half of the 19th century it counted as a hamlet of Cáceres.
The municipality has two settlements, Casar de Cáceres and La Perala. Its land is split in two by the large municipality of Cáceres. The town stands right on the Vía de la Plata.
