Get to know Carnota

Carnota is a municipality in the province of A Coruña, in Galicia, in the comarca of Muros. It borders Dumbría to the north, Mazaricos to the north-west, the Atlantic Ocean to the west and Muros to the south. It lies between the Atlantic coast and the last heights of the Serra do Pindo.

It is famed for its hórreo granary, the longest in Galicia, and for its beach of over seven kilometres, the longest in the region. Mount Pindo, a granite massif nicknamed the Celtic Olympus, rises behind, with viewpoints over the Costa da Morte and the Muros and Noia ria.
