Get to know Carlet

Carlet is a municipality in the Ribera Alta comarca, in the province of Valencia, and part of the outer ring of the Valencia metropolitan area. It grew as the centre of a medieval seigneury and later of the County of Carlet. By population it is the fourth town of the comarca, after Alzira, Algemesí and Carcaixent.

The town lies in the valley of the river Magre. For most of its history it lived from farming that depended on irrigation.
