Get to know Carballo

Carballo is a municipality in the province of A Coruña, Galicia, and the capital of the comarca of Bergantiños. It lies between the Mariñas and the Costa da Morte, with easy links to Galicia's main cities. The seafood company Calvo has its headquarters here.

The river Anllóns runs through the area, and the Razo-Baldaio natural space opens the municipality to the Atlantic. Razo-Baldaio is the second longest beach in Galicia and a surf spot, next to the Baldaio marshes with their rich birdlife. Its parishes include Carballo, Bértoa, Sofán, Rus, Berdillo, Razo, Entrecruces and Sísamo.
