Capellades is a town in the comarca of Anoia, in the province of Barcelona, Catalonia. It stands above the Anoia river, where the river cuts through the Catalan Coastal Range. It is about one hour from Barcelona by car, bus or train.

The C-15 road and the FGC line R6 run along the valley below the town towards Igualada. Paper has been made here since the seventeenth century, and the Molí-Museu Paperer is housed in a converted papermill. The Abric Romaní site, inhabited since the Middle Paleolithic, is open to the public.
