Get to know Cangas de Morrazo

Cangas de Morrazo is a seaside town in the province of Pontevedra, in the Morrazo comarca, and part of the Vigo metropolitan area. It has one of the longest coastlines of any municipality in Galicia, and several of its beaches regularly fly the blue flag. The town is also known for canoeing, with Olympic medals to its name, and for handball.

The municipality brings together the parishes of Aldán, Cangas, Coiro, Darbo and Hío. Hío is home to a well-known stone cruceiro, and the coast includes the cliffs of Cabo Home. Its neighbours are Moaña and Bueu.
