The Canary Islands are an autonomous community of Spain and an archipelago in the Atlantic Ocean. They are located about 100 kilometres off the northwest coast of Africa.

The seven main islands are Tenerife, Fuerteventura, Gran Canaria, Lanzarote, La Palma, La Gomera, and El Hierro. La Graciosa is another inhabited island.
