Get to know Callosa de Segura

Callosa de Segura is a town in the south of the province of Alicante, in the Vega Baja del Segura comarca. It is one of the most populous municipalities in the area, and a traditionally Spanish-speaking town. Its best-known monument is the Church of St Martin.

The town sits northeast of Orihuela, with the Sierra de Callosa rising right behind it. Some houses creep up the mountainside, among crops grown high on terraced slopes. The A-7 motorway gives access to the town.
