A spa town in the Vallès Oriental, where the Font del Lleó spring flows at over 70 °C in the main square.
Caldes de Montbui is a town in the Vallès Oriental comarca, province of Barcelona, Catalonia, in the upper valley of the Caldes river, north of Barcelona and within its metropolitan area. Its hot springs have been used since Roman times, and remains of the Roman baths can still be seen. In the main square the Font del Lleó, the Lion Spring, emerges at more than 70 °C.
The town keeps parts of its medieval walls, the Torre de la Presó and the church of Santa Maria with its baroque entrance. The home of the artist Manolo Hugué is now a museum, alongside an archaeological museum and the Delger museum. Beyond the town centre lie several housing estates, including El Farell, built on a mountain above 800 metres.
