Get to know Bueu

Bueu is a municipality in the province of Pontevedra, in Galicia, on the northern edge of the Morrazo peninsula. It shares the comarca of O Morrazo with Cangas do Morrazo, Moaña and Marín.

Its history is closely tied to the sea: fishing and the canning industry were the base of its economy, and the Museo Massó occupies a former cannery. The Ons islands, part of the Atlantic Islands of Galicia National Park, belong to Bueu, which is split into the parishes of Bueu, Beluso, Cela and Ermelo.
