Buenavista del Norte is a municipality on the northwest coast of Tenerife, in the province of Santa Cruz de Tenerife. Punta de Teno, the northwestern tip of the island, lies within it. The municipal capital is the town of Buenavista, 120 metres above sea level.
It stands out for livestock and is one of the few towns that keep the tradition of raising oxen. The streets show a sober architecture of clear Andalusian roots. Crafts in bone, wood, cane and straw live on.
