Benalúa is a municipality in the province of Granada, in Andalusia, in the central part of the comarca of Guadix. It used to be known as Benalúa de Guadix and borders Fonelas, Guadix and Purullena.
Its land lies in the heart of the Hoya de Guadix, where the rivers Fardes and Guadix meet, with badlands to the east and irrigated farmland to the west. The town centre is at 886 metres, and the highest point is the Kabila hill at 930 metres.
