Get to know Begur

Begur is a municipality in the province of Girona, in the comarca of Baix Empordà. It is an important tourist centre of the Costa Brava. The village stands some 200 metres above the sea and keeps a castle from the 16th and 17th centuries and five towers built against piracy.

The municipality includes Esclanyà, with its Romanesque old part, Aiguafreda, Sa Riera, Sa Tuna, Aiguablava and Fornells. Some of the most prestigious beaches of the Costa Brava are here. Aiguablava is known for the parador built on its cliff.
