Barro is a municipality in the comarca of Pontevedra, in the province of Pontevedra, Galicia. It lies inland in the Rías Baixas and borders Poio and Pontevedra to the south, Moraña to the east, Portas to the north and Meis to the west. The landscape is one of gentle relief, small river valleys, farmland and woods.
Six parishes make it up: Perdecanay, Curro, Portela, Barro, Agudelo and Valiñas. The capital is San Antoniño. The medieval church of San Breixo de Barro is among its landmarks.
