El Guinardó is a neighborhood in the Horta-Guinardó district of Barcelona. It spreads over the eastern slopes of Mount Carmel, on the border between Horta and Gràcia.
Until the late 19th century the area was mostly rural, with farmland, pastures and quarries such as the one at Can Baró. The neighborhood takes its name from Mas Guinardó, a farmhouse.
