Get to know la Barceloneta

La Barceloneta is a seaside neighborhood of the Ciutat Vella district in Barcelona. It was built in 1753 on land reclaimed from the sea. Its triangular shape borders the Mediterranean and the Moll d'Espanya of Port Vell.

Sandy beaches and restaurants and nightlife line the boardwalk. Near the Port Olímpic stands the Peix d'Or sculpture by Frank Gehry. In 2023 it had 14,274 residents.
