Get to know Bañeres

Banyeres de Mariola lies in the north of the province of Alicante, in the comarca of L'Alcoià. It is the main town of the Vall de Biar sub-comarca, 860 metres above sea level.

A Moorish castle from 1214 stands in town, surrounded by mountains, almond and olive trees. The local textile industry is the main employer. Every April the town celebrates the Moros i Cristians festival.
