Arcos de la Frontera is a town and municipality in the Sierra de Cádiz comarca, province of Cádiz, in Andalusia. In the Middle Ages it was a small independent taifa, formed after the fall of the Caliphate of Córdoba.
The town stands on top of a hill and is known for its views and its Plateresque art. It is considered the starting point of the Route of the White Villages, and its people are called arcenses.
