Árchez is a small village in the province of Málaga, in the Andalusian comarca of La Axarquía. It sits in a valley on the foothills of the Sierra Almijara, beside the Turvilla river, about 21 kilometres from Vélez-Málaga.

The parish church of Nuestra Señora de la Encarnación has a sixteenth-century Mudéjar tower. Farming, mainly olives and vines, is the main economic activity, and the village has 441 residents.
