Get to know Alto Gállego

Alto Gállego is a high mountain comarca in northern Aragon that takes in almost the whole upper basin of the Gállego river. Its administrative capital, Sabiñánigo, is also its largest town. France lies to the north, Jacetania to the west and Sobrarbe to the east.

Historically part of Jacetania, it brings together the Tena Valley, the lands around Biescas and the Serrablo. The Formigal and Panticosa ski resorts, the spas, the small town of Biescas and the Serrablo churches draw most visitors. Sallent de Gállego, Caldearenas, Yebra de Basa, Hoz de Jaca and Yésero complete it.
