Alhaurín de la Torre is a town in the province of Málaga, Andalusia, and part of the comarca of Valle del Guadalhorce. It belongs to the Málaga metropolitan area and is the most populous municipality in its comarca. Its population grew sharply in the 1990s as the metropolitan area expanded.
The municipality lies between the Sierra de Mijas and the Málaga basin, and the river Guadalhorce runs through it. Its neighbours are Málaga, Cártama, Torremolinos, Mijas, Benalmádena and Alhaurín el Grande.
